I love it when big name brands incorporate ideas from other brands and create a mashed-up brand experience.Walmart’s recent facebook promotion is reminiscent of Uniqlo’s twitter discounts, combined with a Groupon feel. Check out the Walmart, facebook, Uniqlo, Twitter, Groupon story.

Uniqlo’s Lucky Counter promoted the launch of their new Uniqlo UK online store using social  to both spread the word about the new site and provide a great benefit to their fans.  Consumers tweeted about the products that they liked and the more tweet the bigger a discount that product got.  Uniqlo gets the promotion and their fans get the discount on their favorite clothing item. A benefit for both parties and a great harnessing of social media.
